LOS ANGELES — As expected, Giants closer Brian Wilson will throw a simulated game Sunday in what could be a conclusive test of the troublesome oblique in his left side. Should Wilson throw freely and continue to feel good on Monday, the Giants might consider activating their star closer on Wednesday, the first day he’s eligible to leave the 15-day disabled list. Or they could determine that Wilson will need another simulated game on Tuesday (Monday is a scheduled off-day in San Diego) before he’s ready to return. Wilson made only five one-inning appearances in Cactus League exhibitions after overcaming back stiffness early in Spring Training and before injuring his oblique in a March 17 outing.Wilson to test oblique in simulated game
